Runbase batch and SysOperation Framework

Dear All,

As i know SysOperation framework is following MVC Architecture and It's run on CIL because of that SysOperation execution is much faster than RunBase batch.
Could you please let me know is Runbase batch is also run in CIL? and any other difference between RunBase batch and SysOperation framework.

Thanks!

Regards,

Arpan Sen

Yes, batches run in CIL regardless of which framework you use to develop them. Therefore it's not true that SysOperation is faster than RunBaseBatch; they may execute completely identical code.

There are plenty of differences, because SysOperation has many new features. It can generate UI for you, it automatically serializes data contracts, it supports several execution modes and so on.

    Hi @rp@n,

Runbase  is not executed in CIL. AX will execute code from RunBaseBacth in CIL if it is ruining as a batch or if you explicitly call "runIL" inside of your Runbase  class.

RunBase is an old pattern and SysOperation Framework was implemented to replace it.

RUnBase has 2 types of execution and SysOperation has 4.
