Using QuickSend to email statements

Hi there,

I have set up Application Server at a client and am trying to email a customer statement using Quick Send but i keep getting the following error:-

" The email to the receiver could not be created in Microsoft Outlook because the report file is not found  C:\AppServerTemp\AR_Statement_AM001_31_05_2017_28.pdf"

I have changed the email address I am emailing to to remove the dot(.) and have also remove the customised statement so it is using the standard SL statement but am still getting this error.

I am using SL 2011.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Mark,  Are you able to assist me with the problem i am having which i explained below.  The statement which needs to be attached to the email is not getting put in the temp directory i have set up in Application Server.  All users have read/write access to that directory.  If i manually put a statement in that directory in PDF format and then run the Print statement it emails perfectly.  The process of putting it in the directoyr is the problem. Have you any idea why the statement is not getting written there?

I am the only one running this at the moment to try and get it working and everything is on the same server - Outlook, SL and the C:\AppServerTemp directory. When you say to make sure the file exists in the folder,  I realise that is the problem as it is not there but i thought it would automatically get put there by SL when printing a statement for a customer who i have set up with Quick Send?  Is there anywhere else i have to point it to this temp directory?

The directory C:\AppServerTemp should be on the PC where Application Server is running, and also a directory that the logged in Windows user can access (not locked down).  I would also make sure the file actually exists in that folder.

    Hi Mark,

Do you mean the temp directory?

It is on the same PC I am running application server.

It is an empty directory I created.

Should it be a directory created when configuring application server?

Make sure the directory is correct and available to the PC running Application Server.
