How to add new document type to purchase requisition attachment

Hello D365 Experts,

I've created a new Document type: Vendor Contact Info.

I would like to add this new Document type to the purchase requisition attachment list. I looked at a few articles about Document management parameters, Form set up, and Active document tables but this new Document type still does not show up in the purchase requisition attachment list.

Any advice on how to add this new Document type in the purchase requisition attachment list?

    Hi,

    To create a new document type, follow these steps.

    1.Go to the Document types page.

    2.Click New.

    3.In the Type field, enter a short name for the new document type, such as SharePoint or HR Docs.

    4.In the Name field, enter a longer name, such as SharePoint files or HR Docs.

    5.In the Class field, specify a class to define the behavior for the document type:

    •Attach file – The user is prompted for a file.

    •Attach URL – The user can enter a URL in the Notes field, such as . The Open button on the Attachments page will open the URL on a browser tab.https://www.microsoft.com

    •Simple note – The user can add a simple note in the Notes field.

    1.If you specified Attach file in the Class field, in the Location field, specify the storage mechanism to use.

    2.If you specified SharePoint in the Location field, specify the Microsoft SharePoint address in the SharePoint Address field. To do this, click the Edit button (pencil symbol) and use the Folder selection dialog box.

    Thank you Charlotte. I created the Document type (first image), however I am unable to add this new document type to the attachment list in a purchase requisition. The second image in my original post where there's File, Image, Integration, MediusFlow, Note, Purchasing Documents, URL... I want to add the new document type Vendor Contact Info to this list.

    Hi Michelle,

    It is working for me.

    I am able to attach a file to my purchase requisition by using created document type "Vendor Contact Info". Your new document type setup must be the same as the document type "file".

    Thank you both Charlotte and Dogan! It looks like we had another refresh our test system and with this most recent refresh, it is working now.
