Error when testing and enabling mailbox

I have tried numerous times to enable my mailbox without any success. Here is the synchronization method:

Incoming Email: Server-side synchronization or Email router

Outgoing Email: Server-side synchronization or Email router

Appointments, Contacts and Tasks: Server-side synchronization

Whenever I try to approve mailbox then test it and enable it, I get the following error:

"

mail cannot be received for the mailbox [My Mailbox]. Make sure that the credentials specified in the mailbox are correct and have sufficient permissions for receiving email. Then, enable the mailbox for email processing.
Email Server Error Code: Http server returned 401 Unauthorized exception"
My email address is exactly the same as the one I log into CRM with : *@*.onmicrosoft.com. And for "Allow to Use Credentials for Email Processing", I chose No.
Any idea why I am getting this error?. What is the solution?
P.S. I have read and tried so many microsoft pages on this error without any success

    Same issue with me. Seems this is an issue on Dynamics servers' side.

    Hi Anthony, we also have same issue. There is the failure when test & enable all the mailboxes in the email server profile. You have any update on this?

    Hi,  What do you mean by : It seems my Exchange Online was inactive.  I have the same issue at the moment.  Thks

    Ok I solved the problem.

    It seems my Exchange Online was inactive. After I activated it, the problem was resolved

    Yes I am using Exchange Online and I am the only user of this account. I followed before the steps shown on the link you provided but without success. This is really frustrating

    Hi Ashraf,

    Can you please provide more information about what you are trying to do?

    I seems you are trying to configure server-side sync with Dynamics CRM Online and another mail server.  Is this mail server Exchange Online in the same tenant?  Or is it Exchange On-Premises?  Or is it another non-exchange mail server?

    Depend on your setup the configuration is different.  If you are using Exchange Online in the same tenant, you don't need to provide credentials.  If you are using non-exchange mail server then there can be other configuration steps you need to perform on that server.

    Since you are using onmicrosoft.com email address I assume you are using Exchange Online on the same tenant.  In that case, you don't need to provide credentials.  But you must be  Global Administrator of the Office 365 tenant.  Follow the steps in below article.
