In building out a simple balance sheet, I'm having issues with column calculations.
Here's what I'm trying to do:
Column 1 = balance at date of the current fiscal year/current period
Column 2 = balance at date of LAST fiscal year/current period (not full year or YTD, just the single period)
Column 3 = difference between the years current periods
Column 4 = total of last fiscal year
However, I'm getting the same results in columns 2 & 4 currently.
Here are the formulas I used:
To me, the formula in column 2 should give me just last year's period, but it's not. Any thoughts? I have gone to Kerry Peter's blog and looked on MS Learn, but no further avail.
