Copy LCS production environment to PPAC sandbox environment

Hi all,
 
We are currently running a hybrid setup in which we have a couple of LCS environments, including of course our production environment.
Next to these we have a couple of PPAC sandbox enviromnents.
 
We want to copy the LCS production environment to one of these PPAC sandbox environments.
This should be supported, but considering it is a production environment I just want to make sure that some things are covered.
 
- Is this also applicable in our scenario? Are the elements removed as well.
 
- The Synapse Link configurations are not copied over I suppose.
 
- Are the batch jobs put on hold as well?
 
- Is there an impact on the production environment during the copy? For example performance degradation during the copy.
 
Just looking for some answers to safely do this operation.

    I can add an answer for one of your questions, not sure of the others without trying it out.
     
    Is there an impact on the production environment during the copy? For example performance degradation during the copy.
    There should not be, backups and copies are taken from snapshots, not directly from the environment DB itself.

    Hi Tarxzvf,
     
    When  copying an environment, some data is still being truncated, like environment specific tables. Note that by default is also deletes transaction tables, unless you turn off the transaction deletion option before the copy. I haven't checked the attachments myself yet.

    Synarpse link settings is environment specifc, and is not being copied over.
     
    If I remember correctly, the batch jobs are disabled. Also users are disabled, except for the admin user.
