Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Dear Community,

Reading a CRM on prem 2016 Case in a SharePoint 2013 website, where a customer can log in, and view the cases that are assigned under a specific CRM account.

I am wondering how anyone els would approach this, as this is a gonna be a learning experience for me, to try and impement this.

Have a look into the CRM SDK on how to connect to CRM and get data: www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx

Then you will also have to map the customer login from SharePoint to an account in CRM in a manner that this user is only allowed to see the cases that belong to him.

Precisely for these scenario's Microsoft purchased Adxstudio. With that solution, there's a template that will probably exactly suit your needs.
