Hi Experts,

Wishing you all a very happy new Year

In our project, we have requirement where we need to show "Public View" in the "Associated view" Iframe by default when user clicks on Associated view button on the subgrid.

I am looking for any solution may it be OOB(which I am sure is not possible) or Configuration or by Unsupported scripting.

I tried going through the multiple articles

    Hi Leo,

Thanks for the response.....but what I am looking for is something different.

I might not be able to explain my requirement earlier, let me try it this way.....

Let's assume Name of my associated view is "AV" now in ideal case or OOB behaviour when user clicks on "Associated View" button an Iframe will load in the same parent form with "AV" selected in the view selector by default. But my requirement is I need a different custom public view selected in that View selector when Iframe load.

I hope this clarifies, what I am actually trying to achieve.

    Hi partner,

    Happy new year !

As you know, "associated view" will always be opend if you choose "only related record" in the subgrid properties. And even if you change the view from associated to public, it will also still show the related records.

For example, I set the default view of my activity subgrid to "All Activities" which is a public view and there is still only a related record here.

After I click on the "associated view" button and change the view to public view manually, it also only show the related record.

So in my opinion,  if you set the subgrid only show the related records, there is no difference between "associated view" and "public view".

If you want to get other views, you could add another subgrid with "all records".

    Hope it helps.
