Microsoft Navision 2013 R2 User Customization Backup

Posted on by 4
I am not well versed with Navision, at the company I work for they use Navision 2013 R2, each user customizes their Navision to their liking with what information they want to display. I was asked to back up their layout just in case something would happen to it I could just go back in and import to restore their layout. Can anyone guide me on how to do this? Also, how can I switch a user to read only so they can't rearrange the layout anymore? I have searched through Navision and looked online but I have not been successful in finding how to do this. Any help is appreciated.

Hi, sorry I'm not sure if the method below will also work for NAV2013, but hopefully it will give you some tips.

PS: NAV 2013 R2 has terminated support in January this year. Please upgrade to the latest version as soon as possible.
