Server setup for a MS Dynamics AX 2012 R3

Hello everyone, can anybody suggest what's the ideal server setup that we need for a 30 to 50 users of MS Dynamics AX 2012 R3?

What is the required specification like processors, memory, hard drive, etc. Do we need a separate server for the following:

  • Active Directory Server
  • Database Server
  • Application Object Server
  • SSRS and Management Reporter
  • SSAS
  • Enterprise Portal
  • AOS (Batch/secondary for posting)

    Hi Renato,

    There is an infrastructure estimator available on LCS. You can use that tool. First create a project; then the feature will be available.

    It is not only about the users, but also the transaction and peak loads.

    Thanks a lot for the reply. Currently, we have an AX installation that has 27 users in it. Now, our system has a lag and very slow posting. Let me try what you said.
