Creating Report from RDL generates errors

Hi all,

My goal here was to download an .rdl file from a report in Dynamics CRM 2011 pull into VS2012.

Here I made some slight formatting changes by repositioning elements and adding some text boxes.

I created a new report using the custom .rdl file and it would generate errors.

As a test, I downloaded the original .rdl again and saved it to my desktop. Then without modifying created a new report in CRM with it and I get the errors again.

Seeing as how I did not modify the file how can I correct these errors?

    Hi,

    Are you able to preview report after completing your changes ?? if yes, you can try to enable report server tracing to get more details on this error. You can use this tool (crmdiagtool2011.codeplex.com) to enable tracing.

    I cannot preview the report.

    I am on Dynamics CRM online.

    Hi Reggie,

    Please verify if that report gives result when you Preview it in Visual Studio 2012 before uploading in CRM.
