I want to add a boolean field to SalesTable. I have done it as you can see in the following screenshot.

The problem is when I add this field to ReturnTable form. It is not editable.

I would appreciate it if you can help me in this regard.

If the datasource you are adding the field from is not editable, then all fields within the datasource are not editable too.

Please show us what form you are changing, how does the datasource properties look like (make sure allowEdit = Yes, and also it is not altered through code), and how did you add the field. Maybe just the group you have added the field to is not editable, in which case you should also make the group editable then.

Review method 'setHeaderDataSourceAccess' of that form.

Thank you vilmos for your reply.

But I had done your seggestion before I post this question. What I did to tackle the issue was to set AllowAdd=Yes of that field in the Form's Datasource.

I don't know what does exactly this property is in charge of but it worked.

AllowAdd means you can add it via Form Personalization but it will be read-only by default (Restricted setting), see the documentation:

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../aa860145.aspx

Since above you are showing a personalization screen as well, if that is how you have added the field, it will not be visible for others, just for the user account for which you have done the personalization with. That is why I have asked how did you add the field to the grid/group. Change it in the form design within the AOT to make it available to all users, and leave allowadd property alone.

Kindly mark the correct answers as Verified.
