Hi,

It often happens that we receive an original order from a customer which is entered in Dynamics as a sales order. After a few days and before that order has been picked and shipped, customer does some Ad Ons. The Ad Ons will have a few new items and few more of the items which were on the original order as well.

For instance, in the original order customer ordered 20 units of Item A. The Ad On will have 10 more units of Item A.

When the original order is entered into Dynamics, a packing ticket is generated. When the Ad Ons came in, if the original order was too big, data entry person normally adds one more line on the order for the Add On and generates a revised packing ticket.

Is there a feature to search for an item on an order already created. That way data entry clerk will not have to go through 30 lines to locate that one item.

Your help will be much appreciated.

Since the order has been already entered into Dynamics GP manually without considering any integration method, then my short answer would be simply, there is no better way than a manual modification for the original order.
