Filtering Dimension Drop-Down List

I have two global dimensions and have set up dimension combinations, where only several choices from Dimension2 list can be used for any choice from Dimension1 list. When I enter any transaction, the full Dimension2 list is showing in the drop-down choices. If I make a selection that is not allowed, I get an error message, which is the desired behavior. However, I would like the invalid selections not to show in the drop-down list at all. Is it possible to create such a filter?

    Masha,

    I too get the same results and I do not know of a way to limit the drop-down list. However, I am not a developer and I will defer to my those out there who might know of a way to write a customizations for a dimension lookup limiting Dimension Combinations.

    Hi Carlos, no, it looks like this can only be solved through a customization.

    H Masha, I'm experienced here just the same ... it's so crystal clear, now that we have the field 'Allowed Values Filter' that we should obtain straight only the restrited number of Dimensions we have setup and linked on the G/L number of the CoA.  When posting an entry we receive the whole list of all Dimension (limited of course when posting) but upfront we should have only to see the one we have put in the field 'Allowed Vaues Filter' ... this is so obvious.  Don't understand that this is still not fixed.
