Remove Sub-Grid (+) button

Hello,

I've been trying to remove a button that shows up in the sub-grid section of a form to a related entity.  I've been able to write some javascript, but because it's in a different part of the form, I have been unable to locate the button using my code.  Is there a more simpler/cleaner way of doing this?  Perhaps using the Ribbon Workbench Editor?

I've attached a screenshot of the location of the item/button on the form.

Thanks in advance,

Devin

    Hi,

There are two ways to remove this button:

    1. Remove the 'create' privileges from the user role - and it will automatically not show up since they can't create contacts.

    2. Use the Ribbon Workbench to load a solution containing the contract entity and right-click->Hide on the 'Subgrid' add new button.

If you want to still show it for some users - you can use a conditional enable rule such as I describe here - ribbonworkbench.uservoice.com/.../76681-hide-a-standard-out-of-the-box-button-based-on-a

    Hope this helps,

    Scott
