Bulk Delete Wizard only deletes the 1st 1000 records

I'm using the Bulk Delete Wizard in CRM 2011. The Saved View I'm using in the bulk delete returns more than 1000 records. However, when the bulk delete runs it only deletes 1000 records. I've replicated this multiple times.

Is this a bug or "by design"?

    I think that this is a Bug. The Bulk Delete Utitlity is supposed to Delete 1,000 Records at a time, so if you select more than that, it is supposed to split the number in batches of 1,000. The problem is that the 2nd batch never starts.

    Recently, Microsoft released Update Rollup 4 and I'm not sure if this bug was addressed in this update. If you are using CRM 2011 On-Prem, have you installed UR 4 yet?

    The only thing I can recommend is to increase the default 250-records-per-page limit to 1,000 and then delete them manually from the view.

    This process IS NOT SUPPORTED BY MICROSOFT as it involves direct modification of database values but it can be found here:

    I know that it will be included on the Blog entry there but I am going to say it again: This direct modification of the CRM database is unsupported by Microsoft.
