Company Name field missing from 'All Leads' form

Hi All,

I have imported my leads with no problems.

When I go into 'leads' and select 'all leads' I would like to display the 'Companyname' field.  However, it does not appear to be available to choose from anywhere.

If I click on one of the leads, it takes me to the leads view of that particular lead and I can see that company name and I am then able to confirm that the company name field links to 'companyname'.  It just does not appear as a column that I can add within 'All Leads'

Any suggestions as to why?

Thanks all!

I think you need to add the field to the system view for leads

    technet.microsoft.com/.../dn509578.aspx

    www.microsoft.com/.../create-or-edit-a-public-view-for-an-entity.aspx

You need to add the CompanyName to the System view

unless when you say it does not appear to be available you have tried to add the field.

I would check you have the correct name of the field.  you can do this by going to form editor.  Selecting the field,

    Click the details tab

    press edit

This will show you the field details for company name field

This has been reported via Connect as an item that needs addressing.

Please visit and vote it up to get more attention for this:

    connect.microsoft.com/.../955886

(you will need to register your LiveId with the Connect site if you have not done so already).

There is also a workaround mentioned on that page that might help you (it is a little vague though).

Thanks Aileen.  Yes, I looked at these threads and this advice worked!

Yea, looks like a bug to me also. However, I was able to get it to show up (without creating a new view) by "playing around with it." I clicked on Edit Columns, and then clicked Add Columns. Then I sorted by Name (still not there), then I changed the Record Type to "Parent Account for lead (Account)" and sorted that by Type and then changed back to the "Lead" record type (still not there). I then sorted by Type and then sorted by Name, and walaa, there it is!
