Dear All,

Followed KB915097 setup SQLMail created new profile as per kb but while running getting error "Test mail profile failed for jobserver" if I used default "Outlook" profile Test pass.

on GP side if I goes with "outlook" profile I am getting another error "The following error occured in SQL Server : xp_sendmail: Either there is no defaul mail client or current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outloook and set it as the default mail client"

if I used Database Mail option on SQL Server Management Studio-->Database Mail test mail is working but in GP getting same error..!!!

Any help will be highly appreciable.

Thanks

Sandip

    Any help guys ?

    where as below SP is working

    EXEC msdb.dbo.sp_send_dbmail

    @profile_name ='GPAlert',@recipients = 'sandip@abc.com',

    @body = 'Just testing the mail',

    @subject = 'Sending Mail using Database Mail' ;

    GO

    It work fine. Don't know why GP Business alerts is not working.

    How can I change " Dynamics GP Business Alert to "SP_Send_DbMail" ?

    Your earliest reply is highly appreciable.

    Thanks

    Josh Lother,

    Can you tell me the sql server version? Express or Standard.

    Sandip,

    Business alert is only supported for SQL server standart edition and make sure your SQL server agent is running. First try ro run that created business alert via SSMS SQL agent and try it on GP.

    If you have any doubt in setup Business alert, see below the link for your reference.

    hi adeel333,

    It has actually been quite a while since I used the older xp_sendmail, but here are some resources and things to check that might be causing your problem.

    Read the kb article 915097 on Customer Source.

    Check out this blog post.

    Also, make check to see if the outlook profile on your SQL server is for the same windows account that is running the SQL Server Agent Service. If I remember correctly they have to be the same.

    Also, double check all the permissions as outlined in the kb article mentioned above.

    Hope this gets you headed in the right direction, and if it answers your question please mark it as answered.
