06: ERROR 0008 when processing credit cards

RMS version 2.0.02000

After upgrading to Cumulative Update 5, my credit card transactions fail. 06: ERROR 0008

Operating system is Windows 7 Pro

    Not knowing what you updated from, there was a change for those going through TSYS.

    Go into SO Admin | File | Connect | EDC tab | Advanced Options button | Advanced button | write down/save what the Credit Gateway line says and hit the Restore Defaults button to see if it changes.

    If so, close everything down including POS if open and then try a new credit card sale.
