Updating Existing Fixed Assets using Integration Manager

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi,

How do I update existing fixed assets using Integration Manager ? When an existing asset is imported, I receive an error that the updateexists parameter is set to 0.  How do I change this so that I can update the assets ?

Thanks

The insert and update option is not available for Fixed Assets.

click on integration header after open and change the Insert only to insert and update if it is allowed.

Would it be possible for me to use IM to import new vendors or Vendor EFT information or am I looking at straight eConnect for these as well?

    Thank you

There is no way to do this with IM. You would have to use straight eConnect to do something like this.

Fixed Assets uses eConnect to import the data so the only option is to Insert Only in the Integration properties.  I think I need to make this change in eConnect but I am not sure how to do this.

    1. Go to Integration Manager and open the Fixed Asset Integration.

    2. Right click the fixed asset integration and select properties.

    3. From the properties window change the destination edit mode to "Insert and Update" then click ok.

    4. Try to run the integration.

    Hope this helps!!!
