Hello everybody, I was wondering if its possible to activate Chnage Management only for purchase request without activating it for purchase orders. Is it possible?
We want to create purchase requests that use a workflow for approval but we also want to create purchase orders that dont require to be approved via workflow before being confirmed

Thank you for sharing your issue with the community.
We don't have "Active change management" feature for PR, it is only for Purchase Order. Purchase Requisition has a seperate cycle and it's closed only when the PR status is approved. The Purchase order got approved when it was in requisition therefore system consider the Purchase order as approved because We don't need to take an approval twice for same purchases. Basically the goal is to approve all the purchasing at once.

What our client wants is:
- Everyone except for the purchasing managers will only have the rights to place purchase requests that are approved via workflow.
- Purchasing managers will only only place purchase orders that will not go through a workflow. All purchase orders created by Purchasing managers are created as Approved
Is it possible to set up this?
For this case, you can explore purchasing policy option if that helps.
If change management is activated on PO then the PO will be created in draft status but with active workflow and we cannot skip WF process so it has to go through with workflow cycle.
But you can setup PO workflow configuration wtih "Auto Approval" step as well. Please refer to below blog to setup auto approval on PO.
