Standard Cost Roll

When using the standard cost worksheet and running the "suggest item standard cost" we are getting no changes. We have followed the MS instructions line by line.

However, if I do an item manually from the item - related - BOM - Production - Calculate Production Standard Costs, then it revaluates and generates the expected new standard.

Is the worksheet not recommended? Is there another way to bulk update standard costs?

So first step, in the standard cost worksheet is to Suggest Item Standard Costs and filter for the items that you want to work on.

Second step is to Roll Up Standard Cost, this will look at the component costs and routing/work center costs and recommend new standard costs. You can see the old and new material, indirect, overhead and total costs.

Third step is to implement standard cost changes which updates your item cards and creates the item revaluation journal.

Last step is to post the item revaluation journal.

Note: if you using standard cost for components, you should update standard costs for your component items first doing the above steps and in a second pass through the standard cost worksheet, update your produced items.
