Hi Community,

may I know in User Permissions, what does it means when all the permissions are blank but only execute permissions are tick?

I can't seems to be able to do this. it seems like, only when I tick everything then the last column, Execute Permissions are tick.

    Hello,

You can only add Execute permissions to table, codeunit and page which means you can run the table, codeunit or page but you can add read, delete and modify, etc. to the (table)data.

    Hope it helps.

    Hi, maybe the following helps.

Difference between Table Data and Table in Permissions

    https://yzhums.com/27775/

For table data (data), you can set permissions such as read, modify, insert.

For objects, such as table, page, codeunit, you can only set Execute permission.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.

    Dear Zhu,

Could you explain what Indirect means on a table? As I'm trying to stop all users from being able to delete a job card record in 365BC but failing miserably.  So I have under the Job table 167 at the moment got the following settings read permission yes, insert permission yes, modify permission yes but delete permission set as blank. I have changed that to Indirect but both options still allow the user to delete a job card. Can you point me in the right direction please.

Hi, Here are some instructions from Microsoft that hopefully give you some hints.
