Need to display a notification when adding similar product to product subgrid in opportunity.

Hello, I am in need of displaying a error message when one adds a same product already present on product subgrid of opportunity form. This will restrict the user to add duplicate products in the product subgrid. Instead he can increase the number of quantity in product subgrid. Can this be done using Javascript? Any Help is very much appreciated.

    Hi Dinoop,

    You can do it using plugin using he below details.

    Message: Create

    Entity: OpportunityProduct

    Event Pipeline: Pre-validation

    When the plugin triggers, check if any other opportunityproduct exists for the opportunity and product combination.

    And throw exception if the above condition is passed.

    Hi

    Go for editable subgrid and while entering product name, field onchange event check product already exists or not.
