IV00103 ItmVndTy

I have over 5,000 records in IV00103 where the ItmVndTy = 0.  From what I understand the only allowable values for this field are 1 and 2.

Does anybody know if 0 is an allowable value?  I can update the 0 values but I'm not sure what impact (if any) that will have.

Thanks

I have seen this case quite often, which is an abnormal case as the standard predefined values of this field is precisely 1 and 2 (1 for primary vendor and 2 for non-primary vendor).  In all the cases I see this case, the fields; vendor id and vendor item number (VENDORID, VNDITNUM) are empty with no details.

Unfortunately, I never had the time to track down the root cause of the problem to find why would such record exists. Therefore, I preferred to keep them since deleting them would never be of any added value.

Is this your case ? Is the vendor ID field empty as well ?

    Your feedback is highly appreciated,

The Vendor ID Field has data.  They are valid VendorID numbers.  The VndItNum field is also populated

Then I would never recommend deleting these records.

    Tim,

Have you checked to see if these records are duplicates?

I came across quite a few zeros in field ITMVNDTY of my IV00103 table as well. Then searching came across this post.

So I dug in a little and it appears that these may be related to "In-Transit" transfers. So far the last receipt date (lsrcptdt field) has tied to In-Transit transfers.

This is causing problems with a script I wrote, but instead of deleting them, I am just adding ITMVNDTY <> 0.
