My user account doesn't have General Ledger Entries under Posted Documents.

Hi, this may be a silly question but I'm just starting to do some very basic work in Dynamics Nav, I need to do a General Ledger Entries Dump to Excel

I need to access:

COMPANY/Posted Documents/Item Ledger Entries

But it's not there, I search and the only results for General Ledger Entries is this one below...

COMPANY/Departments/Financial Management/General Ledger/History/General Ledger Entries

Any suggestion?

    Hi Peter Kings,

    Thank you for posting on the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Community Forum.

    From  my initial thought, the key is that General Ledger Entries are tied to Value Entries - Table 17 to Table 5802, which is stored in Table 5823.

    The Item Ledger Entry No. record (Table 32)  is indirectly tied to the General Ledger Entries through the Value Entry being linked to the Item Ledger Entry No. 

    I am not sure if that is what your are running into, but it would be my initial conclusion.

    General Ledger Entry is part of financial transaction, hence it is available in Financial Management, if you want you can create a view under the posted documents for General Ledger Entry.
