Importing Timesheets via oData or other external application

We are looking to build an application that helps automate timesheet creation for our users. The proposed idea to create the timesheet was to use the odata api.  The problem is that it does not support array fields, so I cannot add the Hours or external/internal comments.  Does anyone have any input/ideas on how I can achieve this?

TSTimesheetLineEntity has all the fields you want: Hours, ExternalComments and InternalComments. It's not public, i.e. it can't be used through OData, but you could utilize a data management API.

If you insist on using OData services, you'll need to create a custom entity. I'm pretty sure we could handle array fields too. If by no other means, then with virtual fields for sure.

    Hi JVermette09,

Next to a custom public data entity for OData, you can also check out the Timesheet web service (TSTimesheetService) available in the standard application. This is used by the Dynamics 365 timesheet app for mobile devices.

We have done something similar where we created power apps to create timesheets. As Andre and Martin mentioned, we used combination of entity and TSTimeSheetservice which is OOB custom service to build it. However depending on your requirements, you might need Extensions in these object
