I am not sure if this is a valid question but our business would like to get a confirmation, do we have any limitation in terms of obtaining number of CAL user licenses that we use for Dynamics GP ? I am aware of System requirements will change based on number of licenses but i am not sure if there is any limitation on how many licenses that we are allowed to have , thanks in advance for your help.
We are currently using GP 18.4.1361
If you have a 15 GP user license then you need to have 15 SQL CALs. Both counts need to be the same.
Thanks Richard for your response, actually i am looking for something related to how many Dynamics GP CAL's we are allowed to have per instance ?For example can we buy 500 licenses and are we allowed to use on a single instance ? My apologies if my question is not clear enough but this is what i am looking for. TIA.
If you have 500 GP licenses and you have 5 different locations you can't split 200 per location unless you have all five locations on the same network using the same instance of SQL.
