Sending Email Error

Hi,

I'm using Dynamics AX 2012 R2 and setup alerts to send automatically to an email address. When i'm using the email of our client it cannot send the email and i cannot see the error logs or the cause of its errors. Is there a way to see what causing the email not to send?

I test the client email account on the outlook and sent email successfully. Also when i used a google email account without the encryption setup inside ax it send up successfully.

Any suggestion?

Thanks.

I had an issue, there was not data in SyncParameters table

it is used in class EventNotificationSync, method sendMail

don't ask me why AX works this way.

    also check

    technet.microsoft.com/.../aa498242.aspx

I also created an SMTP server that is used by AX

    thanks Dick for the reply.

Is outlook required in sending email? I did not setup the Outlook integration.

May i know how you created the SMTP server that you used in AX?

It is quite difficult to explain to the client if there is no error log when sending the email. Local outlook send email properly so by clients understanding they provided us a correct email address.

when it runs in batch you don't need an outlook client

I had to integrate with office 365, so my SMTP looks like this

    support.microsoft.com/.../2600912

this smtp server is also the address that is placed in ax mail setup.

Thanks Dick, i already figured it out. The problem is on the Exchange Server settings, you need to add on the Receiver Connector the AOS server.
