Hi All,

I am using CRM online (from office 365). I have just started to customize. My current issue is, I want to display the Campaign Codes (from campaign entity) in my Contact form. So that I can link Contacts with Campaign.

AT the moment I cant see a Campaign code field on the Contacts form design.

Thanks,

Imti

    Hi,

At present there is no relationship between contact and campaign, you can create lookup field on contact entity (Settings->Customization->Customize the System->Components->Entities->Contact->Fields->New ) and select related entity as Campaign, then you can place this field over contact form, save and publish your changes.

    Thanks

    Imti,

    Currently,

Only Campaign Response that having link with Contact in CRM...

You want to link to the Campaign, you can create N:1 Relationship from Contact.

But the question now, you want to auto fill upon when and then you want to have 1 Contact multiple Campaign code or what?

Actually if the Campaign Responses thing is enough for you then you no need to create another relationship.

It is actually meaning already link the Campaign to the Contact indirectly.

    Thanks.

Thanks HIMBAP, I used your method. After placing the new field I made a lookup for campaign too. It worked. But only thing now is I need the code ( Not the campaign name to be displayed in the search ) thanks anyways.

Hi Aileen, Thank you for the response. It is 1 : 1 for the time being. I want to relate directly the campaign codes to the contact.

Do you have a link how to create that relationship between campaign and contact ?

    thanks again.

    Hi,

Oh I see, actually in lookup you just see the primary attribute so in case of campaign, campaign code is not primary attribute.

To see your campaign you can simply design a Quick View form on campaign and there you can place Campaign code and other field if you want to see save and publish campaign entity and then Put this quick view form under Contact entity (Insert Tab->Quick View), so you will be able to see you campaign code in contact entity.

Check here for detailed steps: technet.microsoft.com/.../dn531145.aspx

    Thanks

    Hi Imti,

Yes, you can just create a relationship from campaign to contact

But I think you didn't ask about how to create the relationship from customization right?

    Now, what is your problem?

    Thanks.

Hi HIMBAP, Thank you. Your solution solves the problem. Now I am adjusting the contact form cos of the big section created on Quick View form.
