Invalid stage transition. Transition to stage [StageId] is not in the process active path.

Hi All,

I have recently migrated CRM 2013 (On Premise) to CRM 365 Version 1612 (8.2.2.112). Everything was working fine until I hit the snag with Business Process Flow (BPF). When I transition the stage from existing to next (not previous as I have hid the previous button), I got "Invalid stage transition" exception. Complete log is attached below for reference. I am using OOTB phone to case process.

I have read on the web that it is a known issue, however, did not find any resolution yet. I have also logged a ticket with Microsoft a week ago but no solution yet.

Just wondering if you smart fellows have ever came across such situation or know how to fix this issue, could help me.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Saqib.

    Hi,

    Refer below link: community.dynamics.com/.../invalid-stage-transition-transition-to-stage-0-is-not-in-the-process-active-path

There has been some significant changes between these versions so you need to ensure that you are not doing anything unsupported (liking hiding the previous button) :)

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Ravi,

    Thanks for your reply.

I have been getting these errors, from the get go. It's never been changed when there is a custom code or not code.

I came across the link that you sent. However, I am not able to understand the resolution  that was given on that blog.

    Cheers,

    Saqib

I believe there is some custom code implementation to jump from one stage to other by skipping few stages.

Please use proper branching then write a custom code to find the current active path and move from one stage to next stage using a loop and reach the destination stage.
