Changing Qty decimal places to 6 instead of 5

Hi All,

I need to change the decimal places on the Qty field for items all over BC to accept 6 decimals instead of 5, is there a way similar to AX where you can simply adjust the extended data type or any equivalent method to achieve this?

Thank you

I have the same question (1)

    goto General Ledger Setup

    especially checkout:

    - Amount Decimal Places

    - Unit-Amount Decimal Places

    - Amount Rounding Precision

    - Unit-Amount Rounding Precision

Thank you Franz, this applies for amounts only right?

I need the Qty in inventory journals to have 6 decimal places, how can I achieve that?

I don't think you can change the decimal places in quantity by standard.

You can do customization, but you need to do it in a lot of places.

Try to change the Unit of Measure, for example from meter to millimeter, so you don't need that many decimals.

    Hi NajibSaad ,

Did you ever find a solution for this? Need something similar myself.

Out of the box - this would be done by the Rounding Precision in Item card, but the limit here is 5 decimal places.
So if You need 6 - that can be done by customization only.

But there are so many places in the system you will need to modify this that you should try to avoid it.

I liked what Teddy suggested here - work with the unit of measures instead.
