Db Sync A session cannot be created error AX2012

I am getting this error on an AX2012 when I run Db Sync:
/A session cannot be created. Verify that the user has the necessary rights to log on to Microsoft Dynamics./

I did check the 5 points mentioned in this post: 5 Tips to Resolve the AX Error: ‘Failed to create a session; confirm that the user has the proper privileges…’ (stoneridgesoftware.com)

1. Partitions.
There is only one partition, so this should not be the issue, but I did also try to create the mentioned two other partitions, and created the required records for my under in UserInfo.
 
2. Run Business Logic
Tried Syncing with CIL Disabled, did not help.
 
3. Run a Full CIL.
Did that if completes with no errors, but I still get the error.
 
4. Delete your AUC Files.
Also did not help.
 
5. Improper Privileges
I checked and both my user and the user the AOS runs under had the prober privileges on the SQL Database.
 
So does anyone have any idea what the problem might be?

    I found the problem; it turns out that the Admin user in AX was a user that does no longer exist on the Domain.

    So, I imported the correct Admin user into AX, and with the AOS down, I removed the old user and updated the new one to have the right Id and same Recid as the old Admin user.
    That solved the issue.

    No there is only one Domain.
    And as far as users, well at least I seem to have the problem with more than one user and have not seen any users that can do this.

    This environment I am seeing the problem on is a new AOS I am setting up as a replacement for their old DEV Environment.
    I do also get the same error on their old DEV env, but I have not tested on their production.

    It is a very long time ago for me working with AX2012 and similar error messages. Do you have more than one domain in your network? Do you have the issue with all users? Is this a production or another type of environment?

    Yes the user is system administrator on AX, if that was not the case it would not even be possible to run the DB Sync.

    Based on the error message, can you check if the user account used for DB sync  has the necessary permissions and privileges to access Microsoft Dynamics AX.
