Check your ODBC settings. Basically, none of the ansi options etc should be ticked. If you're unsure what the ODBC settings should be, post again and I will detail these.
Can you log into GP successfully?
If you find issues with your ODBC set up, run the Grant.sql that gets installed in the GP application folder under Utilities/SQL. Then try and re-install FA.
Are you logged in as 'sa' when you are trying to install?
