I have an issue with a specific custom role, which has a display menu item being reported as 'not entitled' in the license enforcement report.

Relevant information; we aim for a Finance license only, this is also the base.

Duty = Enable tax settlement

Privilege = View tax settlement

Display menu item = LedgerTransVoucher1 (all set to grant)

This specific display menu item is reported as not entitled. I would assume that this would fall under the Finance license? Any hints, could this possible be a bug in the report?

Thanks for the replies so far, it made me look into the right direction. As this is a custom role, it looks like this single privilege is not supposed to be there.

The users with this role have nothing to do with HR, which confirms the incorrect privilege.

I have removed it and will re-assess when the report has refreshed. Other parts of that role do have the proper access, also to that LedgerTransVoucher1 menu.

Hi R Muilwijk,

The duty Enable tax settlement with all content is related to Payroll taxes. This is a HR feature and for that reason it requires a HR license.

Also the mentioned display menu item is with write permissions only used within payroll privileges.

Read access to this menu item does not require an HR license.

Are you using payroll in your environment? If not, does the custom role needs these payroll related features?

It looks like the LedgerTransVoucher1 menu item is covered by the "Human resources" license SKU.

In this case it would mean that you would need to assign both a Finance base license and then a HR attach.

However the duty in question is not used by any standard roles, so are you certain that you actually use the functionality?

I would try to remove the duty from your custom role and verify with users if they experience any issues.

Its not very straigforward but can give you an idea. I would create a MS Ticket and ask them, unless you find more in the FAQ or something from others here.
