CRM 2011 Advanced Find not showing Sub-Grid

All-

I am working to create an Advance Find in CRM 2011 on the Opportunity Entity.  This is my story... many different users work on opportunities.  My co-workers want to see the system users displayed on the record.  To show the system-user names on the opportunity record I a created a new N:N relationship between Opportunity and System Users and gave it a custom display label 'Opportunity Team'.  I then inserted a sub-grid on the opportunity form; to display only Related Records on the 'Opportunity Team' entity with the default view as Enabled Users. The users can now search and display any system users that worked on the opportunity.

My problem...They now want an Advance Find on the opportunity entity that will display the 'Opportunity Team' system users.  This is where my issue is.  The sub-grid does show in the list for related when setting up the details, but when I click edit columns the 'Opportunity Team' sub-grid does not display either in the fields or the Record Type.  How can I get this information in the advanced find?

    Hi,

Since there can be more than one value in your 'subgrid' you cannot add it as a column. Instead you would need to search for specific opportunities that are related to specific users via this relationship. You can do this by using a filter criteria that is based on this relationship.

    I hope this helps

    Hi,

I am not sure if this would workout at all. Since in your scenario multiple system users could be linked to one opportunity. But in advanced find there is only one line available to display

So in case of a lookup field, where only one related record exists, the data can be displayed in advanced find.

But in your case more than one record could be returned, so how to determine which to display?

    Br Thomas
