Render data in lookup from External System using Virtual Entity

Hi Forum,
 
I am trying to render my data into lookup from and External Data Source. I am able to see those data from Advanced Find. However, that same view doesn't show data when click on lookup of my case entity. 
it throws error /0x80072505 Value cannot be null. Parameter name: entityMetadata/. Anyone has any idea?
