How we can "set configuration" to lend send emails? (Send by workflow)

Hello everybody!

I've a consulting about it.

In CRM2016 I can send me emails with "Send Email", but when I made a workflow that send a email to the owner of a oppotunity when the DeadLine is "done"... it don't work.

If I look in process in the system, it claimed that the process is "Correct" and he "send", but I never get any email.

Is there need any configuration for send emails from workflows?

PD: When I send email for normal option I use From / To : Maurizio Amaro (My User) ; When I send by workflow I use From / To : {Opportunity (Owner)}

Thanks for your time.

    Hello,

What are you using to send the emails? On-premise Exchange server or Exchange Online (with Office 365)?

For on-premise, follow these steps to configure:

    technet.microsoft.com/.../mt622062.aspx

For Online, follow these steps to configure:

    technet.microsoft.com/.../mt703269.aspx

If you are using Dynamics CRM 2016 in Online, follow these steps:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-engagement/admin/connect-exchange-online

Is the Status Reason of the email record 'Sent'?

Also, please double-check the email address specified on your User record and check your Spam / Junk folder, automated emails sent may sometimes end up in there.

Oh thanks for your fast answer! I go read it today and tomorrow I'll ask if I've dudes ^^.

I'm triying to make a workflow that reming to opportunity's Owner to look for their opportunities that are near of a deadline (final date), because they have much opportunities and can't still renember "how end tomorrow".

    To remind people about upcoming Opportunity deadlines, you could create a workflow that starts when the Estimated Close Date as been set. Then use a Wait Condition to wait till [Process] > [Timeout] > [Equals] > {1 Day Before Est. Close Date}

After the Wait Condition, be sure to add a double-check to see if the Opportunity is still open

    Hello Michael!

I've a dude... in the link there said that you need a Microsoft Exchange Profile by default in "Email Servers Profile" and if it isn't there you need "verify you have an Exchange Online subscription and that it exists in the same tenant as your Dynamics 365 (online) subscription."

Where I can see it? Because I look in Outlook (my products) and I don't see the M.Exchange, but if I see my account in Outlook, it said under name "Microsoft Exchange".

    I ask because in the second Steps <Change Configuration to Server-Side...> it's needed a <Server Profile>

    Hello,

Where is your Exchange server? Is it On-Premise (hosted by yourself or a partner) or Online (hosted by Microsoft)?

Go into 'Email Configuration' and select 'Server Profiles'. If you don't already have a profile there, use the 'New' button to create one. Make sure to pick the version you need, only select 'Exchange Online' if you use it, if you are On-Premise select 'Exchange Server' or 'Exchange Server (hybrid)'

    xD I got confused!

    I'm working with:

    - Dynamics CRM 2016 (On Premise)

    - Outlook 365

    - I've the complement "Outlook for CRM2016"

    There a photos, I don't know if it'll help:

    1)

    Outlook4.png

It means that I've Exchange, no? (I see it in Outlook 365).

    2)

    Outlook2.png

So, I must select Exchange Server there and get the next windonw (Because I don't have any Server Profile)

    Outlook3.png

But what I need put there?? O.o

    3)

    Outlook4.png

It's in my configuration rigth now, I don't change any setting, but it's needed? I'm confusing because it's select in <Microsoft Crm for Outlook> so, why we must change to <server-site...> ?

    4)

    Outlook5.png

    There is my "mail box".

    -------------------------------------

    But my main dude is:

    Outlook6.png

Why I can get mails by "Activity>Send Email", but not for a Workflow

    --------------------------

    Sorry If it's big jejeje

    Hello,

You would need to follow these instructions to configure On-Premise Dynamics + On-Premise Exchange:

    technet.microsoft.com/.../mt622062.aspx

    Thanks for the information!

Later I'll ask you dudes jejeje

There are my dudes, I'll go by steps steps, so now is Step1 to see if it fix the incomings steps or not:

    -Creating an Email Server Profile.

    1) I'm working with a http CRM, so the Fields: User Name / Password were disabled, but where I find the "deployment property AllowCredentialsEntryViaNonSecureChannels" to change value to 1??.

    2) In Auto-Detect the location of the server we have two options fields, it's there a note that said "If the server location doesn’t change for mailboxes, we recommend that you don’t use auto discover because it may affect performance" ; So how all mailsboxes has the same server location (I think), it's needed 2 URL.

    So,

Incoming => Office URL (Where I can look that O.o?)

    Outcoming => CRM URL

    Or I don't undestand it?

    thanks
