How we can "set configuration" to lend send emails? (Send by workflow)

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello everybody!

I've a consulting about it.

In CRM2016 I can send me emails with "Send Email", but when I made a workflow that send a email to the owner of a oppotunity when the DeadLine is "done"... it don't work.

If I look in process in the system, it claimed that the process is "Correct" and he "send", but I never get any email.

Is there need any configuration for send emails from workflows?

PD: When I send email for normal option I use From / To : Maurizio Amaro (My User) ; When I send by workflow I use From / To : {Opportunity (Owner)}

Thanks for your time.

Man! Sorry for the later repply, I was sick with fever.

Thanks for the information! I've fixed the problem and now I can get emails!!

Also I've looked that when I used :

Process Time = Stimated Date , it don't work.

Processs Time >= Stimated Date, it work.

I don't know why...but I think that it's because Stimated Date could set with 00:00 Hours and the Process get the actual XX:YY Hours.

;) Now I've only 2 thinks to fix in this crm jejeje (White Notes in Chrome and Integration with SharePoint)

It depends on what date field you used, if the date is empty or in the past, the workflow is designed not to send any emails, because people don't need reminders about the past.

Oh man! Thanks! Now I get emails JAJAJAJAJA, You are my Hero! XD

But there I've a dude, because from all emails I've seen that nothing with "waiting" in opportunity work.

    I means:

-Leads with only a "check" condition send email

-Leads with "check" and waiting condition send email

-Opportunity with only a "check" condition send email

-Opportunity with "check" and waiting condition don't sent email.

So I was thinking "Maybe is my field for the date that isn't work, because a default date field in leads works".

-Opportunities with default or create date field don't send email (in wait condition).

You know why it happen? And Thanks again!

Make sure you are running the Powershell and registry key on the CRM server, not on your local machine.

I'm confused about your last statement about Office 365 now though, before you mentioned you were also using Exchange On-Premise. If you aren't, you'd need to follow this article instead to configure your CRM On-Premise with Exchange Online (in Office 365): technet.microsoft.com/.../mt703269.aspx

Oh bro! I've found a post (2013) with the "restrigy key" and see coments that what did you said is the solution :D

But I'm looking for Power Shell (Nice another stuff XD!) and wrote the first script and get an advice "Isn't detect the complement from vertion 5 of PowerShell".

Before to install any PowerShell (or update I don't know) I've seen manys of versions (not links from miscroft to install), but it's there need a specific of PS?

I ask because I'm with CRM2016 (On Premise) and the Outlook 365.

(Or I Open another stuff named PowerShell but it isn't the real? O.o?)

    Hello,

    1. The AllowCredentialsEntryViaNonSecureChannels is a registry key under:
      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSCRM

      1. On the CRM server, create a new key called 'AllowCredentialsEntryViaNonSecureChannels' and set it to 1

      2. OR, on the CRM Server, run this Powershell script:
        Add-PSSnapin Microsoft.Crm.PowerShell
        $setting = Get-CrmSetting ServerSideSyncEmailSettings
        $setting.AllowCredentialsEntryViaNonSecureChannels=$True
        Set-CrmSetting $setting
        Get-CrmSetting TraceSettings

    2. Don't enable Auto-Discover, your incoming and outgoing URL will be the same (replace the underlined part with your actual server name):
      https://myexchangeservername/EWS/Exchange.asmx

There are my dudes, I'll go by steps steps, so now is Step1 to see if it fix the incomings steps or not:

    -Creating an Email Server Profile.

    1) I'm working with a http CRM, so the Fields: User Name / Password were disabled, but where I find the "deployment property AllowCredentialsEntryViaNonSecureChannels" to change value to 1??.

    2) In Auto-Detect the location of the server we have two options fields, it's there a note that said "If the server location doesn’t change for mailboxes, we recommend that you don’t use auto discover because it may affect performance" ; So how all mailsboxes has the same server location (I think), it's needed 2 URL.

    So,

Incoming => Office URL (Where I can look that O.o?)

    Outcoming => CRM URL

    Or I don't undestand it?

    thanks

    Hello,

You would need to follow these instructions to configure On-Premise Dynamics + On-Premise Exchange:
