Good Day-
I was not sure if this was possible, so I asked one of our project engineers to take a look. She was familiar with this request and replied with the following. I hope you can see the screen shots.
Printing a summary invoice with 2 different project billings
I have 2 customers that use flex billing and would like the ability to print 2 different billings together with one total at the end.
You can only do that with plain bill_withs two projects showing on one invoice,
They need the billings to post separately to each project so the Bill-with-project won't work. It posts to AR as the main project.
…Well no it doesn’t on billwith it post BOTH you can see below..its posting to whatever project is costed…
This is the result of posting one invoice (using the standard bill with setup)
The other options are Bill by tasks and bill by customer. So you can create one invoice for each task…
This is a bill with setup
The top project , since it has a bill with , will not show in the list of available projects to cost directly in Flex bills
The project highlighted is the Bill with..and it’s the one that you can cost in FB in addition to any other point of entry in the system
Now normally any costs posted to either project will go on the same billing…
I can get cute , and make it do something different…Here is the bill with projects billing record.
I set this up as bill by task group, So if I have a cost entry to the bill with on one task and the other project on a different task I can get them to
Split off on to two separate invoices.
So I can get the projects to post together on one invoice in one setup, or on separate invoices if I split out by task.
If I do it with the bill by task setup…they post to separate projects like the standard ..but on separate invoices.
