Booking an item not in a BOM

Hi, is it possible to book an item out on consumption journal if it doesn't exist in the actual BOM?

Scenario: A BOM has 3 items on the BOM, during production a part is used that is not actually on the BOM, is there a way I can book this out during consumption?

    you can manually add in Prod. Order components first before you consume
