Database login when running reports

Last last week, my SL2011SP3 installation quit generating reports. Custom or standard, get the same results: ROI will start to run, then after a few minutes a database login box appears.

After trying Sync Ownership and Security (my go-to for this kind of thing,) I tried all the steps detailed in this thread: https://community.dynamics.com/sl/f/35/t/69409
When that didn't work, I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the client. No go. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the entire application with no joy.

Has anyone else ever seen this? If so, do you have a resolution you can share?

Thanks!

If you are using Remote Desktop with a Terminal Server, check to see whether you have saved a redirected printer as the default printer.  If so, change to Use Windows default Printer.

J.C., Is this happening on any workstation or just one workstation.  The original post is a bit old.  Are you getting the exact same situation?  If so, when you get the database login screen is it the SL user login or some other screen?

ROI connects using ODBC.  Have you tried going to the ODBC administrator and deleting the connection to the application database?  ROI will rebuild the ODBC if you do that.
