Print a label in report as finished and putaway process in production

Hello guys,

I'm trying to setup label printing when the production user report as finished with the wms mobil device.

I setup the mobil device menu item with the option "report as finished and putaway" with a work template that has configured the printing process in the middle. I also configured the document route and layout.

The issue comes when I use the menu item in the mobil device to report as finished, the system ask me the quantity to report, the batch number and after that the process ends without printing the label.

So the question is, It is possible to print finished product label when RAF? because I could print the product label but in other processes like sales picking.

Thanks in advance!

Hello Robert, I don't remember what I was missing, but, As I describe in the first post, you need to set up document route for that type of work, the wave template for production, work template with the printing process in the middle, location directive, and in the warehouse setup it is important to set up a location that is LP controlled as the default Report as finished location for that warehouse. I hope that helps.

    Hey Alejandro,

We'd like to achieve something similar in D365FO.

Do you have a detailed description about how to set this up?

I found the answer thanks to your information!

I changed the location for one that is LP controlled, and now is working. I don't understant why, because the location that I had a work policy without any "work order type" restriction.

Sorry one other thing I just thought of.  Check to make sure the production wave is setup to process automatically.  You might check in the open waves screen to see if you have a bunch of unprocessed open waves for production.

Sorry I missed that work wasn't being created.

On warehouses do you have a LP controlled location in the default finished goods location?

Do you have wave templates for production?

I'm assuming since you have a work template you have location directives.

You don't have anything setup in work policies do you?  that can be set to  not generate work for putaway.   It's under setup and work.

It's funny that you don't get an error when you do a report as finished.  Normally it tries to generate work and you'd get an error.  Is the item's storage dimension set as advanced warehouse?  The inventory is being updated in the advanced warehouse right.

Hello Scott, Thing is, it is not generating any work. The system only asks for quantity to report and it places in the default location set up in the warehouse.

This is the configuration I have:

    Mobile decive Menu Item:

    Work template

My concern is that the option "report as finished and put away" is working the same as "report as finished"

    Hey Alejandro

I haven’t tried to print a label from RAF but maybe some things to look at.  Is the print line on the work being closed?  Is a License plate being generated or entered at some point?
