I followed the instructions: Create a Custom POS Button for Frequently Used Items.
But I have two cashiers and I want different Custom POS buttons for the different registers. Is this possible?

If you are running RMS 2.0.1000 or higher you can use POS Task Pads to accomplish what you want.
The task pad can contain frequently used items and you can create different task pads for each register or cashier.
To create a task pad run Store Operations Manager, Database, Registers, POS Task Pads.
To assign a task pad to a register select Database, Registers, Register List, select a register, Properties, General tab.
To assign a task pad to a cashier select Database, Cashiers, select a cashier, Properties, Register properties.
To ensure by cashier works you will also need to enable File, Configuration, Options, POS options, Force login each sale.

What You want it's not possible, as Custom Buttons are created for all the registers / users in the database.
The only option I could think of or recommend is create the two buttons, give the cashiers different security levels and assign the corresponding security level to the buttons. This way the cashier will be able to use only "his button" and will not have access to the other button.
