Hi everyone,
I am seeking an advice on which of the following exams is the easiest to start with for a On-Premise CRM beginner:

- MB2 710
- MB2 711
- MB2 712

for the suggested exam I would appreciate it if you mention the following:
1- How much time approximately it takes to prepare for the exam?
2- What are the best learning resources (Free or Paid) for the exam?
3- if you could tell me a brief experience you had on taking the exam. THAT WOULD BE GREAT.

Thanks in advance.

Check out Neil Parkhursts guides for these certifications:

    neilparkhurst.com/.../mb2-712-certification-microsoft-dynamics-crm-2016-customization-and-configuration-revision-guide

In general, I would say go for the MB2-715 and MB2-716. These are the new certifications for Dynamics 365. Passing these two exams will earn you an MCSA certification on Dynamics 365.

As far as preparation, I would say it depends on your experience, and since at this point you are just a beginner, the first thing that you need is to familiarize yourself with the applications so that you understand the logic behind what you are testing.

I have done a lot of Microsoft Certification Exams over the past 20 years on different products and technologies, and the bottom line is how well you know the product. The questions can sometime be tricky and have multiple answers, but if you have real-world experience, you usually can figure these out.

Some exams can take you a day to prepare for, while others can be weeks or a couple of months. All depends on your schedule and availability for training and learning.

You should also try and get your hands on the Microsoft Training Materials for these exams. If you don't have a CustomerSource or PartnerSource subscription, you can probably get a free one via DLP:

    Hope this helps...

    Noted with many thanks.

Your answer was indeed helpful although I couldn't open the first two URL's!

but still I have confusion and I would be glad if you would help me clear things out.

You have suggested a dynamics 365 certifications (MB2-715 and MB2-716). My question:

are these certificates measuring skills related directly to CRM component or is it only about dynamics 365 components? I couldn't figure this out from the skilled measured section on both exams web pages.

    and also, how these 2 certificates compare to MB2 710, MB2 711, MB2 712?

    Thanks in advance.

Not sure why you couldn't open the urls in the beginning. Just go to http://www.neilparkhurst.com and navigate to the certifications menu. You will see the certifications there.

The Dynamics 365 Certifications that I mentioned are comparable to the Dynamics CRM Certifications.

715 is the update for 710, and 716 is the update for 712.

Going to add to Vicky's response above.

Once you've found the exam you want to take, look at the skills measured (For 717 as an example: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/learning/exam-MB2-717.aspx - Go through each of these on the list and try and try to work with the parts you don't really use. Take notes on how they behave, what the recommended usage of said aspect is and generally try to re-familiarise yourself with the product.

I use D365 daily, heavily customised, nearly none of the out of the box functionality for sales. So I'd probably set up a online trial to re-learn how exactly the out of the box functionality works. Don't assume that because you use it daily, that the parts you use are enough.
