While regressing a few interal defects we have observed that Sales and Purchase Transactions are not getting posted after deleting Sales Tax Codes through our sales tax data load utility which is associated to Sales Tax Group. This works fine on ‘AX 2009 SP1’ ERP due to which we are not sure whether this is expected behavior on ‘AX 2012 FP’ ERP. Would someone please verify if this is expected behavior in AX 2012?
First Defect:
Suppose, we have created a Sales Order to which Sales Tax Group ‘66008.S01’ is associated and it is in ‘Open’ state. We ran subsequent data load and Tax Codes ‘KS….01SS’ and ‘KSDONI01NS’ associated with STG ‘66008.S01’ got deleted. Now, when we try to post the open Sales Order, following error is getting displayed:
Second Defect:
Suppose, we have created different types of Purchase transactions (Purchase Order, Invoice Journal and Invoice Register) to which Use Tax Group ‘66008.U01’ is associated. We ran subsequent data load and Tax Codes ‘KS….01SU’ and ‘KSDONI01NU’ associated with UTG ‘66008.U01’ got deleted. When we try to post open purchase transactions, following error is getting displayed:
We had filed defects on ‘GP 2010 SP3’ ERP for this issue and it was resolved as “This is a limitation of GP 2010 R2.”
This issue is not observed on ‘AX 2009 SP1’ ERP and all open purchase transactions get posted successfully without showing any error.
