Yes you can manage period GL > Ledger calendar > Here you can select module and also allow access to User group or  no access ,

You can create one user group and add only required users and then give access

    Hi vinay prudvi,

You can open as explained by Saurabh. Just make sure that everytime you post any adjustment entries after the year-close; you need to perform the year close activity again to get the updated balance in next fiscal year as well as in the Retained earnings account.

    Regards,
    Sourav

You may have to write a code to update the status as the form does not allow to change the status back to OPEN. I am not sure if it will work as desired.

You can not open a permanently closed period. You may need to check with Microsoft if they can help.

    RE: Yearend close periods

    Hi vinay prudvi,

Your initial question does not sound like you actually wanted to re-open a closed period!

However you can check below links which explained how to do that.

    https://community.dynamics.com/ax/f/microsoft-dynamics-ax-forum/78681/how-to-reopen-a-closed-period-and-how-could-this-affect-end-year-closing?pifragment-109373=1#responses

But please try this in dev environment first and check the impact with developer to make sure such steps do not create any bad impact anywhere in system.

Else as Billur suggested, please check with Microsoft.

    Regards,
    Sourav
