Validation Button in Released Product

Hi All,

I just want to ask I have the problem in assigning user role in AX 2012 r3, currently only the system administrator can have(visible) the validate button in released order but the user should only access the Product Information. May I ask how can I make the validate button in released product even not a system administrator User. Thank you.

You have to configure permissions according to your needs.

The entry point seems to be in privilege Validate the existence of essential product field values (in Maintain products for operations master duty). Only Product designer role has access to it by default (at least in my AX).

If you want to hide the validate button from system administrator you have to write code for same . you can not achieve through security permission.

If you want to give access to other users, please find the correct privilege for validate button and assign to role depends on your scenario.

I already find the security which only exclusive in system Administrator I want to add it in my modified role. I need to show the Validate button in released product in my modified role

Hi,

This button is part of the privilege "EcoResProductValidatonProcess". You can add this privilege to your role or create a new privilege with the action menu item "EcoResProductValidatonService".

The standard privilege is part of the duty "InventProductsForOperationsMasterMainta" so also adding this duty to your role is possible.

The privilege that I need is available only in System Administrator user. I don't know the needed and exact role because In ax 2012 they hide the roles of system admin

Both I and André told you exactly what privilege and duty contains the permissions. If you have no clue what it means and how you can configure security in AX 2012, why don't your ask?
