Hey, we will start working with Dynamics CRM beginning of October in my company..
I am responsible for strategic sales and market penetration.
Untill now we created systemreports which listed our customers in a certain market.
After evaluating and adopting the content we handed the excel files over to our sales representatives and they started visiting the customers.
When they finished the list they had to hand it back in and we were able to check the results.
Now with Dynamics I read that there is the possibility to work with the module campaign management of marketing automation.
But the instructions only list ideas for telephone and mail marketing which goes in my direction but not completely.
Basically what I need:
1. Create a query of potential customers (but keep it in the system)
2. Adopt the list
3. Make it visible to the sales representatives.
4. See the actions conducted and the results of their visists.
Is there a module which does exactly this?

I have the same question (0)So there are a few ways to manage this. If the potential customers are not yet in CRM, add them as Leads and add activities i.e. meetings to them via a quick campaign. Once the leads are qualified you can automatically convert them to accounts, contacts and opportunities.
If there customers are already in CRM, you can create a marketing list and run a quick campaign against it creating activities for the sales people to action. You can convert these actions to campaign responses and then to opportunities.
