Greetings,
how do i set financial dimensions by default, when i enter payment journal. financial dimension should set some value by default.

If you want to have Vendor Specific Dimensions, then you need to fill the Dimesnsion at Vendor Master. So when you create Journal dimesnions would be defaulted from Vendor Master.
or
If you want to have some dimensions common for all Vendors then you can define the same at Payment. Journal Setup available in GL. Now AX will assign same dimensions to all Journals if Vendor is not having specific dimensions.

I concur with Sachin here on the solutions.
However, i wanted to know what is the business scenario so that you are looking to have some default dimensions in the payment journal ?
I can suggest more probably if you can let me know the exact business requirement.
