Field Service: Convert case to work order issue

(0) ShareShare

On converting case to work order, an error occurs 'Only one resource requirement can be primary for a work order'. Currently, it creates more than one 'resource requirement' and all of them are set to Primary

When I deactivate this system plugin "Field Service: Create (post-operation) for msdyn_workorder" then it works fine but deactivating the plugin stops creating Bookings and Service Tasks as well.

There was a workflow on work order for updating wo address from case; on deactivating it , system now works as expected.

I faced the same issue. Disabling some of the Sync WFs that I've created on WO record create has solved this issue. But still wondering why its happening.

Just had this issue due to a real time workflow it appears to be affecting resource required entity.

Changing to a background workflow it runs without issue although as new work order is created there is a delay requiring refresh for asynchronous flow to complete.

It's confusing as the case to work order entity I'm sure plays some role in this area and it appears the system doesn't see a dialogue box as an error so no log from the real time process is created.

Anyone had any more thoughts or insight into this area? Also a hassle as now the users have to have permissions that relate to the workflow that aren't required in a real time workflow.

I m trying something similar to your cases. Through a workflow i am trying to convert a case into Work order ,but it is throwing the following error:

"You can't change the status to "In Progress" because the work order has no bookings that are in progress". any help would be great.

When you create a Work Order via WF keep the system status to Open-Unscheduled as this is the default. When a Booking is created automatically or manually FS will convert the WO system status to Open-Scheduled automatically.

So make sure when you are creating the WO via WF, dont change the system status.

We faced same issue--- upgrading field solution version to 7.2 resolved the issue
